The Swansea City Supporters Trust has welcomed the appointment of Michael Laudrup as the new Swans Manager. Trust Chairman, Phil Sumbler said he was sure that Swans fans would get behind the new manager and everyone was now looking forward to the new season.
He added:
“It’s a very exciting appointment. As a player Michael Laudrup is up there with the world's best and his time in management has shown him to want his teams to perform in a style which should fit in well at Swansea City.
The Supporters Trust Board has been kept fully informed, through our Supporter Director Huw Cooze, as the search for a new manager has progressed and once again the Chairman and Directors have quietly gone about their business and identified a candidate who has the potential to enhance both his own reputation and that of Swansea City in the years ahead.
It’s good that he will have a full pre-season to get to know the squad, and there is certainly a great deal of optimism amongst fans.”
