The Swans Trust is delighted to announce its continuing sponsorship of the Swansea Junior Football League.
Now in its third year, the sponsorship deal maintains the Trust’s commitment to one of our core principles – to bring football closer to its local community.
With group sporting activity playing an important part in the development of young people, the Trust wanted to contribute to the development of grass roots junior football in the Swansea area and we are delighted to be able to do this through the sponsorship of the league.
The Swansea Junior League has been established for nearly fifty years and administers football for over 100 teams in the age groups from Under 8 through to Under 14, providing organised football for over 2,500 boys and girls in the Swansea area.
This year’s sponsorship donation has covered the provision of first aid kits for every one of the participating teams in the League.
League Secretary Kevin Jones said:
We’d like to thank the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust for the generous sponsorship it has given to the Swansea Junior League over the last few seasons. Since becoming our main sponsor, it has been of great assistance in helping us to develop Junior football in our area at grass roots level.”
