Welsh Baccalaureate Project Goes Live!

March 15, 2019

Some of the recent Welsh Baccalaureate work of the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust with Dwr y Felin Comprehensive School in Neath is now being put into practice!

During the summer of 2018 pupils in Dwr y Felin Comprehensive School, Neath piloted, very successfully, the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust Enterprise and Employability Welsh Baccalaureate Challenge ‘To develop a product or service to improve the matchday experience for young people’.

Now a small group of pupils have been able to put their idea into practice. Before the FA Cup game with Brentford the pupils offered face painting in the Family Stand. They worked in two groups (boys and girls!) and raised £125, in an hour and a quarter, for their school charities such Tŷ Hafan and Great Ormond St Hospital. At £1 at time, that took some doing!

Our thanks go to the Club for its support and to all of you that had your faces painted – thank you for making this venture such a success!
