Last summer, and with full support of the club, we launched the Swans Supporters Flags Inititative which proved to be a huge success with new and current Swans flags being displayed all around the stadium and also taken to some key away games. They even managed to find their way to Wembley last month for our Championship play-off final!
In what was a difficult year or so for all concerned the Trust would like to thank everyone who took part in this scheme and also to the club for the wholehearted support they gave in allowing the flags to be placed in such prominent positions around the grounds and even on occasions into the changing rooms (thanks Michael!)
It made a huge impact on our Supporters Groups and the Jackarmy all over the world to see their Swans flags regularly shown on TV, websites and social media platforms!
With supporters now beginning to return to stadiums it is now time for the flags to be found a new home at the Liberty (or returned to their owners).
- Ideally we would really love for your flag to remain at the Liberty but in a new and permanent home for it within the stadium concourses (or other suitable locations) for supporters to view over the coming seasons. If you are happy to let this happen just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your flag details (subject to confirmation of its necessary fire safety certification); or
- If you’d prefer to have your flag returned just email us at email@example.com to either arrange collection from the Liberty or provide details of where you would like it sent.
Both the club and the Trust would much prefer to see your flag remain at the stadium for our supporters to see the important role they played during the Covid-19 pandemeic so if you’d like any advice or estimates on any replacement(s) we suggest you contact your local flag supplier or alternatively Mr Flag in Swansea at firstname.lastname@example.org
