FRANK BURROWS 1944-2021
The Trust is saddened to hear of the passing of former club manager, Frank Burrows.
Frank, aged 77, was one of the game’s real characters and after being appointed manager of the Swans in March 1991 succeeded in guiding the club away from the threat of relegation. His team went on to win the Welsh Cup with victory over Wrexham in Cardiff.
After missing out on promotion to the First Division in 1992/3, Frank masterminded the Swans first ever visit to Wembley in 1994, where they beat Huddersfield in the Autoglass Trophy final. Frank managed and coached clubs throughout the country and was a popular figure and character wherever he went. A craggy and proud Scot, he was instantly recognisable in his flat cap and was not one to be messed with. A real character who played and managed the game in his own unique style.
The Trust and all fans send their condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.
