Name: Andrew Cude
Occupation: Civil Servant
Current Role: Previously Elected Board Member to 31 July 2021. Resigned 31 July 2020
Why did you join the Trust Board : Mainly to try and influence the Board’s future direction as it relates to the formerly-proposed sale of its shares to Swansea City, something I firmly believe should not now happen.
What attributes/skills are you able to bring to the Board : I’m currently trying to professionalise and improve the Trust’s public statements to its members and media etc. These are often the only things that make the Trust publicly visible so it’s important to get them right and to be able to react quickly when needed. I have wide experience of operating at senior levels in government and the skills I have gained in my career should, if utilised, be valuable to the Trust board.
How do you feel that the Trust can further develop its representation of members and the wider fan base : Communication. Both the public statements mentioned above and communication generally. Silence and/or intermittent and incomplete public communication on matters of interest to members has naturally led to speculation and contempt. That has to change and once the issue of the shareholding is resolved, that should be the Trust’s main focus.
