With the results of the recent Trust Board Nominations announced on the 3rd July we can confirm that there are vacancies for additional co-opted members to serve on the Trust Board until 31st July 2027.
Applications are invited from current Swans Trust members who are aged 16 or over.
Applications should include full name, address and date of birth and each applicant should submit approximately 250 words on why they wish to join the Trust board, what attributes/skills they can bring to the role and in what areas they feel they can contribute.
As well as assisting with the duties outlined in the attached Board Members Guidelines 2026 the areas we anticipate we specifically require more support this season are:
- assisting with managing, updating and emailing information to members utilising our automated database;
- aid with preparing and issuing supporter related news and updates for uploading via WordPress to our Trust website plus supporting our communications team;
- provide input and help provide digital material for our social media and other communication platforms;
- aiding our heritage working group in planning and delivering a number of projects over the coming season; and
- providing professional advice and support to our legal, finance, marketing and membership sub groups.
All applications (or enquiries) should be sent by email to info@swanstrust.co.uk and must be received by no later than 5pm on Sunday 2nd August 2026.
Applications for co-option will be considered by the Trust Board on Monday 3rd August who will then vote to appoint co-opted members to serve on the board up to the 31st July 2027.
