Following complaints from fans about the new Liberty Floodlights (as previously mentioned on our website) Supporter Director Huw Cooze has taken up concerns with the Stadium Management team.
Here is the latest update he has received.
“The current position of the lights is fixed, there is no scope to raise the position with the current configuration of the stands. We are in discussion with the light manufacturers; they are designing bespoke lens deflectors to the lamps that are creating the issue. They are producing twelve initially and fitting them as soon as they are available. We will then know if this is a viable solution without affecting our Premier League requirements.”
It is accepted that the upgrade is a Premier League requirement but the Trust is glad to see that the Stadium Management is working to resolve the concerns raised by fans. Our Supporter Director Huw Cooze will continue to monitor the situation.
