Trust Board Elections 2021

The Swansea City Supporters’ Trust holds Annual Elections for Swans Trust Members to have the chance to be elected to the Trust Board. Full Board Members usually serve for up to a two year term and are eligible to stand for re-election.

Notice is hereby given that this year there will be SEVEN vacancies for election to the Trust Board, FIVE of which will serve for a period of 2 years from the 1st August 2021 and TWO for a period of 1 year from the 1st August 2021.

If you would like to put yourself forward to be elected as a Trust Board member, please download and complete the NOMINATION FORM below and return it via email to the Trust Secretary paul.barrett@swanstrust.co.uk or by post to our Registered Office by the 2nd July, 2021.

What you are required to do:

Please include your name and full address on the nomination form and ensure it is signed and dated. Note that nominations MUST be supported by SIX Swans Trust members who were full Trust Members on or before the 17th June, 2021.

Complete a brief statement about yourself (strictly maximum of 250 words) to accompany your Nomination form which will then be circulated to full Trust members in the event of a ballot being required.

Return the completed Nomination form and personal 250 word statement to the Trust Secretary by the 2nd July, 2021.

Note: A ballot will be held if more than SEVEN Members are nominated. Trust Members who held full membership on the 17th June 2021 will be eligible to vote in any subsequent ballot.

If elected you will serve for a period of up to TWO years from 1st August 2021. The main qualification you will need is enthusiasm and a desire to see the Swans succeed through the Club and the Trust working together. No experience is necessary and there is no salary or expenses.

You will be expected to join the monthly Board Meetings which are normally held on the second Monday of each month in Swansea or virtually commencing at 5.30pm and participate in various other sub-groups, Trust related activities and responsibilities as appropriate.

You are eligible to stand for election if

* On the 17th June 2021 you were a Full Swans Trust Member and you are aged 18 or over.

* You are not subject to a disqualification order under the Company Directors Disqualification Act.

* You have not been convicted of an indictable offence.
