The Trust is delighted to share a recent interview with football finance expert Kieran Maguire on Swansea City’s 2021/2022 accounts.
In late April, the club reported a loss of c.£13m for the year, with significant operating costs. We recognise and appreciate the details shared by the club in their accompanying statement last week and wanted to supplement that with additional analysis and insight from an expert in the field.
Kieran is the pre-eminent voice in football finance and has appeared across mainstream and football media discussing football finance, sustainability, and regulation. He has been a strong advocate of supporter organisations and has been a consistent voice in establishing an independent regulator in football.
Our conversation with Kieran covers further scrutiny of the club’s accounts, and Kieran provides useful insights on how they compare to other Championship clubs, as well as sharing context on wider football finance.
