Swans Trust Upcoming Events

With the season now well underway members and supporters may be interested in some joint events we have coming up over the next few weeks:

(1) On Saturday 2nd November Swansea City DSA and the Swans Trust are organising a Charity Concert with the Dunvant Male Voice Choir in Ebenezer Chapel Dunvant. Artists Martin Lloyd and Trystan Llyr Griffiths will also be joining us and tickets are £15 with any profits going to charity.

More details will be announced soon but it you’d like to learn more just send an email to DSA Secretary and Trust Board member Cath Dyer at secswandsa@gmail.com

(2) Then on Friday 15th November the Trust will once again be supporting Swansea City AFC Foundation and Matthew’s House in the return of the “Swans Big Sleep Out”

Last year over £28,000 was raised with over 70 signing up to sleep out overnight in what was a very wet evening outside the Swansea.com stadium. Members of the Trust Board also slept out to help raise awareness and much needed funds.

They will once again be doing the same this year and there are still places available if members and supporters would also like to get involved? It takes just a few minutes to register online here or if you prefer you can make a small donation to the project here

(3) And there is still time to book and come along to one our final FREE Swansea City Heritage Talks of the Autumn where award winning local Author and Sports Writer, David Brayley covers ‘Post War Period and the Golden Days of the 1950’s’. They start at 10.30am with light refreshments also available at the following venues/dates:

South Penlan Community Centre: Monday 23rd September – booking link here

St Phillips Community Centre, Sandfields: Friday 27th September – booking link here

More information is available here or alternatively just email supporters@swanstrust.co.uk to book your place.

(4) Finally, we are in regular talks with the club about potential supporter engagement events, including fans’ forums, over the coming months not just in Swansea but for supporters who live further afield. We’ll provide more details in due course.

Can we also take this opportunity to thank everyone who has renewed or joined the Trust so far this season. It takes just a few minutes to do so at our “Join the Trust” page on our website or you can come along and see us at the Trust Pod next to the club shop before KO at any home game.
