The Swansea City Supporters’ Trust is delighted to announce Faith in Families (FiF) as its chosen charity for 2025.
The partnership means that FiF will receive an initial donation of £2,500 and will also benefit from proceeds of the Trust’s fundraising programme over the next 12 months.
The Trust chose FiF as its charity of choice due to the outstanding work it does with young people in Swansea and the surrounding areas.
The charity is a cornerstone of hope and support for children and families facing significant challenges. Faith in Families is transforming lives across Swansea Bay through their Community Cwtches & Multibank. They provide vital support to children and families facing challenges such as poverty, crisis, and trauma. Their wide range of services includes parent and toddler groups, 1-2-1 child therapy, parental & child support, outreach work & home support.
Established in 1999, Faith in Families has grown to encompass three community cwtches in the Swansea area. Each setting based in deprived areas of Swansea, aiming to provide help and support to families within the community.
Swansea City Supporters’ Trust Chairman Dave Dalton says: “We are thrilled to be working with Faith in Families as our charity partner for 2025. Their dedication to improving the lives of children and families in the Swansea area is truly inspiring and we are excited to support their incredible work.
“We hope our initial donation and fundraising efforts over the coming year make a lasting impact in the local area and help Faith in Families continue to inspire, believe in and support the next generation.”
Faith in Families Chief Executive Officer Cherrie Bija says: “We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud that the Swans Trust has chosen Faith in Families as their Charity of the Year for 2025.
“At Faith in Families, we’ve spent over 25 years transforming lives across Swansea, running three community Cwtches and Cwtch Mawr, Wales’ first multi-bank, which has already supported over 106,000 people in just its first year.
“This partnership with the Swans Trust will help us continue to provide essential items and services to children, families, and individuals facing poverty and crisis.
“Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Swansea, ensuring brighter futures for everyone. Thank you, Swans Trust, for standing with us to make a real difference.”
