For more than a century, players of every generation have helped shape the story of Swansea Town and Swansea City FC. Some have become club legends, others made only a single appearance, but all played their part in the history of our football club.
The Swansea Town/City FC Legacy Project, completely researched, compiled and edited by officers of the Trust, recognises every player who has represented the club in a competitive first-team fixture by assigning a unique Legacy Number. Covering the period from 1912 to date, it provides a comprehensive record of the club’s playing heritage and ensures that every player has a permanent place in the club’s history.
This project complements and is consistent with Niall O’Brien’s recently published book Swansea Town/City FC: The Comprehensive Player A–Z. Together, the book and the Legacy Project provide supporters and researchers with details of those who have represented the club over more than a century.
The Swansea City Supporters’ Trust is proud to have undertaken and published this work as part of its commitment to preserving and promoting the heritage of our club for future generations.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, using all available sources from books to industry accepted on-line sources, new information is continually coming to light. The Legacy Project is therefore intended to be a living record that will be periodically updated.
