Over the past few months, the Supporters Trust has been in discussions with Swansea Council about recognising the historical significance of the Swans former home at the Vetch.
We are therefore pleased to say that a Blue Plaque is now to be located in William Street close to the former North Bank entrance.
There is considerable work being undertaken there at present and the plaque will be unveiled in October 2018 when the current sheltered housing building development is completed.
Swansea already has a number of Blue Plaques installed to honour its past history, featuring important and famous figures, ranging from the arts, science and sport.
