The Trust are happy to share the latest version of our TrustCast. We started this series back in October with the aim to ask the questions that you have directly to senior decision makers within the club, and share those answers directly.
In December, Adam Lewis from the Trust Board sat down with Josh Marsh, Head of Football Operations at the club. Josh joined Swansea back in June 2022 and has a broad remit related to incoming, existing, and outgoing players from the club and within the Academy.
Josh’s path to Swansea City started as a Youth Team player at Wrexham, before spells at a number of clubs first as a scout before moving into front-office positions. In the interview, we talked about Josh’s career to date, including his key lessons and what he has sought to bring to his role at the club. Josh also explains how transfer decisions are made within the club, the importance of culture, his work with the Academy, and how players are managed when they are with us.
As the interview was held a few days after Russell Martin’s press-conference where he discussed contracts for Ryan Manning and Joel Latibeadiere, we opted not to go through that again during the interview.
We are delighted to announce that our podcast is available on Spotify, Amazon, and a number of other podcast streaming sites. We are aiming to finalise our links with Apple in the coming days.
We’d like to thank everyone who submitted questions as part of this, and hope that you will continue to support us as we develop new communications and engagement initiatives.
We recognise that there is further work to do, and we are eager to hear your feedback, so please share any comments/questions/queries with us via info@swanstrust.co.uk.
Enjoy the interview.
